  2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE QRZ! DATABASE ON HARD DISK:

  5. First, find about 210 Megabytes of hard disk space.  Next, copy this
  6. entire directory into it.  You're set to go.  When you copy the
  7. database to a hard disk, make sure that the directory on the hard disk
  8. is called \CALLBK.  If you can't do this, you can set some environment
  9. variables.  The variable QRZPATH must point to the base directory of
  10. where the data is located.  The variable QRZDRV must contain the drive
  11. letter where QRZPATH is located.

  13. If, for example, you loaded the database onto c:\hamradio\callbook
  14. then you would put the following into your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:

  16. SET QRZPATH=\HAMRADIO\CALLBOOK
  17. SET QRZDRV=C
  18.  
  19. Note: QRZPATH and QRZDRV are not recognized in the windows version:
  20. QRZII.EXE

  22. To use QRZII.EXE with the database on the hard disk, use:

  26. Where "D:" is the name of the disk where you put the above files.
